About the Mustangs

Imagine Yourself in the Sanctuary…join us with Wild Mustangs on 2,000 acres.

Most of these magnificent beings were taken from their land in the western US when rounded up, separated from their friends and families and put cramped, overcrowded holding areas - some for years.

Return to Freedom rescued and re-wilded the mustangs.

The Mustangs we will send time with are Wild Horses Reunited with their families & Re-Wilded at the beautiful Mustang Wild Horse Sanctuary and Conservatory called Return to Freedom. See the peacefulness, beauty and freedom of the Mustangs and the event location in San Luis Obispo, California in the video. Like the mustangs, heal from trauma, and find your wild, authentic ways of communicating and connecting.

Important things to keep in mind..

  • Parts of this event are outside.

  • We will be walking up and down hills at the Sanctuary. Moderate Fitness level over uneven terrain strongly recommended.

  • Transportation to and from the event and Sanctuary are not included.

  • Hotel is of your choice, and not included - Recommendations given upon registration.
    You will need your own car transportation.

  • Group size is limited to 6 participants

About Return to Freedom Mustang Sanctuary and Wild Horse Conservancy….

Return to Fredom Mustang Sanctuary and Wild Horse Conservancy is dedicated to preserving the freedom, diversity, and habitat of America’s wild horses through advocacy, sanctuary, education, and conservation, while enriching the human spirit though direct experience with the natural world.

The San Luis Obispo Sanctuary is on 2,000 acres of horse heaven on
California’s Central Coast, where 85 wild horses and 24 burros roam free.

We will safely walk out on the land, quietly observing the herd.  Sometimes individual mustangs choose to come and interact with us.  All interaction is by their choice.  There are no halters, bridles, saddles, no training. (See the video above in the about the Mustangs section)

The mustangs are roaming free, choosing where they go and when they interact. They are living on 2,000 gorgeous sanctuary acres.  There are ancient oak groves, hills with 360 degree magnificent vistas, ocean and valley views.

Dear Friends,

I want to share a personal journey that has shaped my life and purpose and lead to the creation of transformative workshops like Mustang Magic.

As a teenager, I discovered a profound connection and rapport with horses—a language of unspoken understanding and trust. In their presence, I found solace from the judgmental noise of the world and witnessed their inherent goodness, even amidst challenging behaviors.

These majestic creatures reflected back to me the essence of who I truly am, even when I couldn't easily see it in myself.

Horses taught me about the power of intuitive connections, partnership, and the beauty of harmony. These revelations became my life's work—to bring healing, bridges of understanding, and conscious awareness to our hearts and souls through connections.

I am here to build bridges of understanding, not only between ourselves, but also between animals and humans.

Together, we can co-create transformative connections and tap into the healing powers of nature and animals. Through my three decades of work, we have witnessed extraordinary transformations that unfold when people and animals trust, understand, and communicate with each other. 

There is magic in the medicine of our authentic selves, where miracles of connection rise.

Animals are profound teachers who show us the vast capacity we hold for love. They invite us to open our hearts, accessing the deepest parts of our being and connecting with the spiritual realms.

Through our hearts, we find our greatest potential for love, kindness, and compassion. Animals have a unique ability to unlock these qualities within us, reminding us of our own capacity for love.
