BodyCasting Art Medicine™
Honoring Your Body as Living Art
This is a special invitation for those of you who feel called to go deeper with the body as canvas, vessel, and voice in a sacred, creative ceremony series. We meet live, online for 5 classes.
Each woman will make a BodyCasting of a chosen portion of your body. Then you will apply the empowering and transformational Art Medicine® processes to support an honoring of your body, story, and spirit.
What is BodyCasting?
BodyCasting is a technique of creating a three-dimensional replica or mold of some part of your body. You’ll get a supplies list for purchasing what is needed.
You will be applying layers of ready to apply water-soaked plaster bandages directly onto a chosen area of your body. You will be guided on a journey to connect with your body wisdom to connect with and choose an area.
After the plaster hardens, it forms a durable cast that captures the shape of your body.
What is Art Medicine®?
Art Medicine® is a creative pathway for healing, spiritual connection, and transformation through art. Through this layered painting process you will open a direct doorway and conversation with your body wisdom and knowing for your own healing, growth and transformation.
This process of connection, intention and honoring through creating and painting becomes a kind of medicine. Here is a path for finding, experiencing and honoring more of the truths of who you really are as a Goddess within your own body.
Guidelines
You will be walked step by step through the entire process from preparing your space for privacy in your home space where you create your BodyCast and through each step of the Art Medicine™ process.
Sacred Space
A sacred space is created for the entire BodyCasting and Art Medicine processes. Your journey is held with deep self-care and within the safety of non-judgmental, supportive small community of women. This is all done with a sacred honoring in preparing your body, your mind and emotions.
You will be given a complete Supplies Checklist and where to purchase supplies for making the BodyCast yourself, for painting, integrating and decorating your piece.
You will also be given written guidelines for preparing your sacred space at home so you can be ready with your space and supplies prior to class2 when we begin bodycasting.

About Privacy
Your Home Space
You will be guided to set up your private home space in a way to secure your personal privacy. These guidelines are given in written form, and there’ll be time to ask any questions and have discussions prior to the Bodycasting class.
Your Online Space
Online, when we are doing the bodycasting process you’ll turn your camera off so you have total online and recording visual privacy.
You will still be able to hear instructions during this time and be able to come back on screen after the BodyCasting is complete if you choose.
We will have time to share after the BodyCasting is complete.
Format
We will meet on Zoom for 5 sessions of 2 hours each.
The Beauty of the Classes
Class 1 - Beginning Your Sacred Journey

Introductions, Outlining all the Steps, Guided Sacred Journey
We begin with an introduction to the BodyCasting process, myself and each other.
I will walk you through all the physical space preparation steps along with give an overview of the entire process as well. This is preparation for you on all levels. For your mind, heart, body and physical space.
You will be walked through a sacred guided journey to connect with your body wisdom and intention.
There’ll be plenty of time for discussion and questions.
Please note that In this first meeting, we will not yet be painting.
Class 2 - BodyCasting
You will be walked through the BodyCasting experience in a sacred and honoring way to be present with the physical steps and any emotions that arise to be held with honoring and safety.
Once you register you will receive a detailed supplies list for you to have everything ready.
You’ll also have already received your physical space guidelines and had time for preparing your physical space prior to BodyCasting in class#2.
Classes 3 & 4 - Layering Steps from Intention to Painting
You will be guided through a series of layers to be placed on your bodycasting. Each layer has a specific purpose and intention to bring through onto the body cast to bring out depth, meaning, support and transformation.
The point is the process and internal transformation. It’s not about the ‘Art’ itself but rather the medicinal effects of the process and what comes through you.
Some people complete their painting and adornment by the end of the 5 classes. Some take longer. There’s no right or wrong way to go through the process.
Class 5 - Integration
In this time together you will be guided through a deeply honoring completion process. I trust the process implicitly to bring forward the medicine most needed at the time for each person.
This is the very first time this liberating and strengthening Series of BodyCasting Art Medicine™ is being offered by Sandy Rakowitz.
As a founding participant, you’ll help shape the experience and receive a significantly reduced rate.
